YOU GUY'S ARE ALL NUT'S, BUT I LUV EVERY ONE OF YA

In this day and age when people are trampled on and **** upon evey day it sure is really nice to have this forum and all you fellow Ford freak's to comunicaate with. Not a day go's by that I can't get some emotional relief by sitting back and reading all you'r post's.
Being 47 and diabetic makes it hard to get around much, but it sure would be nice to get together and motorhead with some of you guy's in person some day. Life is short and I was reminded of that today when my diabetic cousin was found expired from complications due to his diabeties.
Life go's on. It allway's will, for some anyway. For other's like me it is a daily struggle with insulin shots and a huge amount of pill's just to stay here on planet earth.

These guys are great and they up lift me also whenever things might not be going right.

Bob, sometimes life just plain sucks. Diabetes has to be one of the most cruel diseases out there. Thing about it is, it sucks a whole lot worse when you have to go through stuff by yourself. Glad we can all be here for you. Don't know how far up in hoosier land you are, but if you're ever in the bluegrass state, let me know and maybe we can hook up for a race or a car show.[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

I truly hate diabetes. My oldest brother is in a nursing home, blind, paralyzed from repeated strokes, and the recipient of a kidney transplant due to diabetes. My son is a type 1 diabetic. He has managed it well so far, but, at 21, the tough years are still ahead of him.

My condolences on your cousin. I will pray for you and for a cure.

I know what you mean. I was diagnosed with Kidney failure in '94, I'm on hemo-dialysis now and trying to get on the list for a transplant.

When I get on these forums it allows me to be 'normal' for a few minutes and not worry about my health. Its also comforting when you get to know the folks and know you can count on them for support or to lend an ear when you've had a bad day.

Same here on logging on to unwind. Sometimes I have a fu**ed up day at work, come home and log on read something hilarious and it brightens up my day. Not to mention the guys here are a lot of help, and I try to be of help when I can. If I can put a smile on someones face when they are having a day, it makes me feel better knowing theirs is better as well. I have been coming here since there was that techboard where the questioned dropped to the bottom of the screen then dissapeared completely. It is a great place and I am hoping to make it to Woodward next year to put faces to screen names. Good luck Bob. I'm here to help in whatever way I possibly can. Wow.. and I thought I was the only one with some health issues.. I'm only 27 goin on 28 in a few months.. but I've battled a back injury, surgeries when I was younger for various things.. and for the last several years I've battled heart problems and in the last year I've been having kidney problems too. The Dr's keep telling me I'm gonna end up on dialysis one of these days but I'm tryin to avoid that if possible. I've been pretty down here lately but you guys & gals and your projects keep me in good spirits. [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]
