Good buying experiences

I was reading the line on Summit and Jegs from an earlier post and I was wondering where people do buy their stuff. There is a web site called bizrate.com and they rank internet retailers. It is based on customer results and experiences. I think it would be nice for this group if people could post their positive experiences so the rest of us can send business their way. Just a thought

I buy from anyone who I consider reputable. I have made purchases from dozens of outlets, some I wont buy from again, others I go to the first time, and its not always about price for me, I will pay for quality and service even if I know I can save a buck somewhere else. If I ever have an issue with a trusted supplier I tell them I have gone to them first even though I could have bought it cheaper some where else, and that is usually all that needs to be said.

If I can find what I need in the summit catalog, I'll give those boys first choice. If I can't fine it in their catalog, then I go to Jegs. If that's a no go, then I call the company/manufacturer of whatever I"m looking at, get ALL the info I can from them, (including part numbers), and then call summit, and try them.
So, I guess Summit's my first choice.
If I'm RREAAALLLLLLLY in a hurry, I"ll call into the twin cities, and call MAS. They have a fairly decent stock of HP parts. Sometimes it's worth the 40 minute drive downtown to get something I need bad.
(did I mention I'm not a patient person)?

I buy a lot from Summit and Jegs. Summit is a bit easier about returning parts, Jegs has a bit nicer online order tracking. Both do very well. By and large, the support staff is competent in both companies. Every once in a while you run into a ding-dong, but isn't that true just about anywhere.

Regarding FPP, we ordered a set of new Ferrea valves for a FE, custom size. Paid for 'em (not cheap). He sent a set of used Manleys, the wrong size even. Sent them back, never got anything in return. He quit returning calls. Finally had to sick the Credit Card company on him to get a refund. The guy is a douche.

Got my T5Z with the custom mid-shifter mount tailshaft from Modern Driveline. Outstanding service before and after the sale. Now and then you find a little guy that stacks up against the biggest and best out there. These guys are tops when it comes to 5 speed conversion stuff.
