you should resize the pics. this can be done in photoshop, if you have it.

Otherwise you can use something like the trial version of lview (http://www.lview.com/Download.htm)

the best thing to do is first, resize the image to less than 600pixels wide. Then, save it as "web quality" or jpeg at 30-50%.
