Anyone in Sacramento area that could POSSIBLY help me out if it was needed?
I am going to be talking to the old man tomorrow about getting my Mach 1 here to Sac. I will be renting a Uhaul, and a trailer to get it to Sac State (dorms ) However, dad has made it clear to me that IF it takes a...poo poo, he will not be able to help me in the least. Main thing is if it takes a crap, I was wondering if someone in the area could lend me a hand. Thank you in advance--

Do you really want to have your Mach1 at the dorms? How are you gonna wrench on it? I doubt you have a garage at Sac State.
just my opinion, but when I was going to cal poly SLO, living in the dorms, I had buddies who brought their project cars to school. I think they ultimately regretted having to leave their car out in the uncovered parking lot, not having a way to work on it, etc etc.
May want to wait til your off campus to do it.

Ever think about just putting it inside the U-Haul? You'll need a roll-back wrecker to load/unload it...

Thanks a lot to the both of you for the offers!! I will be calling dad shortly. He was talking about putting new or re arched leafs on it...but I do not think I want to wait for that--I think he is stalling As for having it in an uncovered parking lot, well it sits in the driveway at home, so it wont be much different here. I do plan on getting a nice cover for it though. I will keep y'all posted on what happens. Thank you again!

Wow. Well, ****, I guess you got me there. I am still a kid, that is a student. I make minimum wage, and I live 400 miles from home. I take 18 units, so that limits the amount of hours I work. I have no tools here at the dorms either (I dont know, did you go to college? Did your dorm room have tools? Maybe a lift? as well) Jesus.....Get me through the **** I stir up......man oh man....I will get me through the **** that I stir up. by the way, what was the meaning/purpose of your response?
have a nice day as well

Yeah... forget that guy, never bite the hand that feeds you, or even the hand that *can* feed you, if **** happens.
As for tools- I finally fessed up and bought a set, so I didnt have to borrow my dads.
I went to Harbor Freight, I spent 84$, I got 3 sets of sockets+ratchets, 1 set of wrenches, Screwdrivers, pliers and a set of impact sockets that I cant break. ALL with a LIFETIME warranty, for a fraction of any other cost.

The in town store is on greenback and auburn or something, not far off at all. I highly suggest going in there. If you have 200$ to spare, an air compressor and air tools would be a handy investment as well. Thats assuming you have somewhere to keep them though!

Dave, how old are you? Maybe we could go out for a beer or something. I will PM you with my number and such if you want to hang out, meet, whatever. Car will be here next weekend, or the weekend after if all goes well.
