1971-1973 Mach 1 question!

Well, I am in the process of cleaning the garage, and I found some pieces...The air conditioning unit out of my mustang to be exact. Is this worth holding on to? The car is a numbers matching car (well...I have everything that can go back on it) and my parents are the original owners. Does the unit have any special numbers that go with this car? Also, how much are these new? Can you still get them?

Okay, last thing, still AC related. The cooling grill, that has a bunch of cooling fins on it. It is a little beat up, but again, worth holding onto? If these are relatively cheap, and do not have any special numbers linking them to my car, I would rather trash it.

Thanks a lot!

1971-1973 Mach 1 question!

Jeff ... Nope ... not "Car" specific by number.

There is some chance that to a real "numbers efficianado" it may be important, there could be variations in casting number that could make the parts unique to your specific year (and possibly model) even though another bracket may work, fit and look the same, but have a slightly different casting number.

If you want to be a "purist" hold on to the stuff ... if not, you should be able to pick up replacements for things like brackets without problem ... but then again the Cleveland stuff is getting rarer all the time ...

Hmmm ... I don't think I solved one damn thing for you here
