I want potmetal to shine, am I out of my mind?

Okay, I've torn down the solex carb that is on the VW engine that is going on the hovercraft. I cleaned all of the grime and grease and rust out of the carb am now left with a dull grey piece of joy. Can I get it shiny, and if so, how? I'd like it to look as new as possible, and don't really want to by a remanufactured one. Any suggestions are helpful, as always. Thanks!

use some scotchbrite to polish it up.
It will be tough to get in the tight nooks and crannies.


Then use some "Mother's Mag Wheel Polish"

Mother's will give it a mirror finish.
