I think I could win the "1960 Wierdness Sweepstakes" with this.

I don't think it's ugly at all. I think it's real cool. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think it's really nice.

What does it have, a 352 "Y" engine ? What kind of tranny and rear end would a car of that vintage have?

I like this one too, Hanky. The Meteor was the Canadian version of the fullsized Ford. This one has a 223 6 cyl., same as my '64 does at present, non syncronized low 3 speed and a 9" rear. If I didn't have my Custom, I'd be all over this one!

To the rest of y'all that think it's ugly, just think '514 powered sleeper'.

If that Custom wasn't #2 on my 'Most Wanted Car List', I would If I ever do decide to sell, you have first shot, DT. Fair 'nuff?

#1 is a '55 or '56 Crown Vic. I missed out on several in the late '60s, including a very cool early '60ish type custom....maroon, '55 Merc taillights, nosed and decked, tube grille, tuck-n-roll interior, 312/3 speed with a Hurst, etc for 300 bucks! Tried to float a loan but my dad wouldn't go for it I ended up with a clean '55 4-door after I got a job and saved up for it myself. Cool car, but not a Crown Vic.

They're WAY out of my price range now, but I'd like to build a clone as I remember that Vic, but with a nice 427-428/4 speed combo.....

That '60 Merc is like a mini '60 Starliner or Edsel. I like it
