wedding date coming close. but date is coming too fast!!!!
some of you know i'm getting married in a few months, which is on feb. 14, 2004.
i know i want to marry this girl but the date is coming so dam fast. i didn' think 5 months would come so fast. its only been 3 months and it seems like i just asked her to marry me 2 weeks ago.
it barely hit me today that i only have so long to be single. and weird thing is, girls are hitting on me like crazy since i lost weight for the airforce and since i've been engaged. and funnier thing is, i blow them off like dust. only because i'm a husband to be.
i feel like my single days are number which they are and i'm just feeling so weird. i know i want to marry her. I FEEL LIKE I'M ALREADY TIED DOWN!!!
is this normal feeling just before you get married? i think i might be getting what you call "wet feet".
but don't get me wrong, i want to marry her when i do. i spoke with my friend about this today and he said he felt like this just before he got married.
anybody else feel like this when they did? or what were you going thru or feeling before?

i think one of the things thats making me feel like i'm already tied down is the sayings:
"when weird married you better not get on our bed after you come home from work without showering"
"when we're married your cat goes outside"
"when we're married, whats mine is mine, and whats yours is mine"
"when we're married, you will wash the dishes and cook dinner occassionlly or else"
and the list goes on and on and on.
this normal for a woman to be acting like this and f#%!en ****?

Yikes! Slow down. Don't know how old you are, or how long you've known this girl, but me thinks 30 is about right. Folks change alot from 20 to 30. Hell I'm 47 and girls from 18 thru 55 have hit on me recently. What I'm saying is there are a whole lot of girls available, don't jump in too soon. Nobody needs another mom or boss. You want someone who's got a job, confidence in herself, doesn't want to change you, and not worried about where you are 24/7. Good luck.

i'm 21 and in the air force.
i love her and shes has a good job and close to getting her bachelor degree. the only thing i think she's doing to me is, she is just putting her foot down with me. i think i should do that too.
this girl is definetly a keeper. i honestly just think the "when we're married....." sayings are just annoying me.
like the one "when we're married, we better still have sex 1-2 times minimum a day"
when she says her "when we're married " speak, its not really like she's trying to change me. just trying to keep my hygiene clean and i better be the same when we're married.
she's definetly confident with herself.

hahahaha, better understand now she's the BOSS,lol. Thats totally hilarious, I honestly wish you luck. Ive been married for only 7 years now, and its great (been together for 12, and have 2 kids, 10 & . In some cases it brings you closer, others it drives a wedge between you and hell breaks loose. Take it one day at a time, and enjoy it while its fresh. My wife and I are still on our honeymoon pretty much, and everyday is exctiting and great (she told me to write that, lol). Dont worry about your feelings about "wet feet", they are normal and totally understandable, but I bet you its an exciting feeling isnt it
Best of luck to you both.
Rick

Hmm...atleast to me it seems like she is going to be a very demanding gal. I remember you posted here about problems you two were having and she actually attacked you. Now she is already demanding how you act, and you are already shaken up by it...
It is easier and cheaper to pull out now than after all the plans and a possible "D" word.
If you chose to be with her, best of luck to the both of you, and I hope that you do not need it.
About the sex comment...haha...from what I hear, and I am sure many may agree...there was a recent study done that found a certain food that killed a womans sex drive!
It's called wedding cake.

eheheheheheheh, thats a good one jeff.
i'd like to see that study's research article.
but yea, if it does oh well. as far as our arguements, we've sat down with each other and her cousin whom is a counselor and really talked it out. what we've done really has made our relationship so much better. its almost like we just started dating again.
we almost never argue, now its just the normal "when we're married........" speech.
i think the best thing to do is just tell her that speech is getting to me. and half the time she says these things, i think shes just trying to be funny and doesn't mean any harm, seriously!!!
i don't think this is abnormal for a to-be-wife. i think they all dream and they speak out what they are thinking, but again they also play around. i think thats what she's doing now that i REALLY think of it.

wedding date coming close. but date is coming too fast!!!!
there is a few things you can say
#1- do you know why brides wear white on their wedding day, so the dishwasher matches the fridge and stove
#2- do you know why womens feet are smaller then mens, so they can get closer to the sink
#3- do you know what "WIFE" stands for, Washing,Ironing,Fu%^ing,Etc.....
in all seriousness though, I know alot of couples that dont make it past there 2nd anniversary, each blaming each other for the problems. The old saying is "marriage is the main cause of divorse", try not to be one of them, you both need to give it a chance, and its 100% up to both of you to see it thru.
Best of luck
Rick
