I've got the '58 Ranchero too. Wife got it for me also. I've only been married a year. I hope she remembers this year.

That's a cool tree! One for the real car nut.

The only odd tree I ever had was one I colored pink and had pink panthers all over it and all the ball ornaments had pink panter rub-on stickers on them. The tree topper was a bendy rubber pink panther hanging around a star. I still have one of my rubber bendy pinkys but after spending about 7 yrs on the hood of my old Pontiac he doesn't look too well anymore. Poor poor pinky.

Can't really tell what it is but that's pinky on the hood. Honest! The thing around the bottom of the tree is a pink panther sheet.

Well, that certainly does rate as "odd"!

I remember when I was in 2nd grade, Christmas '57, I went to my Grama's house where they always had a HUGE Christmas Tree all decked out with lights, ornaments, tinsel, the whole nine yards.

Instead of the traditional tree they had gotten this pink flocked abortion! The only decoration on it was round pink ornaments. No lights, no tinsel, just PINK!!!!

Thankfully, the next year and many years after a "real" tree grew in the living room at Christmas......

No offense to "pinky".

That had to be a nightmare for a kid! My ex was a pink panther freak so I had to think of something different. I sprayed the tree down with that snow in a can and then used red food coloring in water to spray the tree and make it pink. The only PinkPanther I still like now is the one that was on the hood of the car. I think that's what kept it going! One day at work some little brat ripped ol pinky off the hood and the car ran like crap on the way home. I'm sure it was a coinsidence...or was it? Hey Greg, if you could find a tree big enough, maybe one of them sequoias you probably have enough real cars to make one giant tree with driveable cars to decorate it. Or make a 'choo choo track' to drive the cars around the bottom. Kinda like that 'Road of Tomorrow' ya know? This is the Christmas Tree my wife was kind enough to buy for me last year.

Hanging on the tree are full collections, from #1 to present, of the Hallmark Cars and Trucks Ornaments that she has bought me for Christmas over the years.
