Leaking gas cap
My '34 Coupe is leaking gas from the cap. It is
a bayonet (sp) style cap. Things I did to help stop it:
replaced cap
doubled up on gasket
sanded mating surface flat

Still leaks [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_mad.gif[/img] any ideas guys/gals?

Is it building up pressure in the tank and causing it to leak because it's pushing the gas out so to speak?
I'm not that familiar with a '34 at all! So wild guessing here.

The cap is vented, so I don't think that's the problem.

Leaking gas cap
On the Cadillacs that we have they leak gas from the cap when they are filled up on a hill or if it is warms in the garage.
