Fordmuscle.com members register to check out cars/items for other members?

I got this post idea from Kywookie!

With eBay and the internet in general making it possible to see what is for sale all across the country we should set up some kind of registry of Fordmuscle members who are willing to look at and evaluate cars and trucks in their area for other Fordmuscle members. The current members list does not work well for this because if you sort by location it will sort by whatever anyone has entered: state, city, region, etc., it's pretty random. We would need something more user friendly...

I know I could have used something like this a couple times now....I have had to pass up on some cars because I could not see them in person.....if we had a local FM member who could see the stuff with our interest in mind instead of just the seller telling us "what we wanna here" type deal?

You can count me in. A searchable database based upon zipcodes would be real nice. Type in the zip where the vehicle in question is located and pull up member's names in the registry that is within a certain distance of that zip. Sounds good but I have no knowledge of how to actually do it.

Chilly makes some valid points....

I guess it still gives another persons view to the deal though.....even if it's just extra pictures it's still a helpfull thing over what just the seller is saying...
