Demo\'s Tax Poem,relax,just a joke,I think.

The TAX POEM

Tax his land, tax his wage,
Tax his bed in which he lays.
Tax his tractor, tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.

Tax his cow, tax his goat,
Tax his pants, tax his coat.
Tax his ties, tax his shirts,
Tax his work, tax his dirt.

Tax his chew, tax his smoke,
Teach him taxes are no joke.
Tax his car, tax his ass,
Tax the roads he must pass.

Tax his tobacco, tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his booze, tax his beers,
If he cries, tax his tears.

Tax his bills, tax his gas,
Tax his notes, tax his cash.
Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.

If he hollers, tax him more,
Tax him until he's good and sore.
Tax his coffin, tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.

Put these words upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom!"
And when he's gone, we won't relax,
We'll still be after the inheritance TAX.

Just out of curiousity: what kind of tax percentages are you paying in the US? I mean in % of income?

Im most cases appox. 28% of your paycheck and most states about 8% or so on items from a store but 0% on food. This is APPOX.

I'd rather be taxed to death, than to have the economics in shambles because someone lowered taxes and increased spending. You shouldn't spend money you don't have(when it comes to governments at least).

Brian ...

The economy is in recovery ... and primarily because of the reduction in taxes. The economy was going in the toilet before GWB even took office ...

Get up on the facts before you begin to cast blame ...

I will admit though ... John Kerry would love to have everyone in America take what you said to heart

Helmantel...

If you combine all taxes....Federal, State, Fuel, Sales Taxes, Property tax, SS, Etc., Etc.....It is said that we in the USA pay over 50% of our income in TAXES!! Probably close to 60% in some cases??

What really bothers me is that as they pile on more and more taxes....WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT BECOMES 100%???

WE ALL THEN WORK FOR UNCLES SAM....FULL TIME???

It's called income redistribution, a.k.a. socialism.
Money is what makes the world go round. When you take away people's incentive to be creative and work hard then the society becomes stagnant. The only thing driving innovation in the Soviet Union was the fear of banishment to Siberia or execution. Very few worked their fingers to the bone solely for the good of the motherland.

So true...But the thing is...The left REALLY only applies this to "the 'rich.'" By "Rich" I dont mean literally either! "Rich" is whatever the left decideds to views as "rich." Larry...aren't you "Rich?"
