try installing a new waterpump, hoses, thermostat, fan and radiator....then forgetting to take the lower plug out of the radiator. That one took me a week to figure out!

I tried once to put in my C-4 tranny, and I couldn't get it to line up, so I took it back out, checked everything over, and then tried again. Second time I tried, still couldn't get it to seat, tried and tried, but no luck. So out it comes again, once again check all that I could, pulled the torque convertor out wanted to check shafts and all, make sure the pump was in all the way and everything else. Well third times a charm, went right in no problem, got all the bolts in around the housing, and then went to tighten up the flex plate bolts, and I will be darned if I forgot to put in the torgue convertor (D'OH!)
Also have done the wonderful put on the distributor cap and forgot the rotor scenario.
And of course I have gone and changed out my cam, put on the water pump, all accesories, get the belts on, go to fire it up, and absolutely nothing, engine cranks, plenty of spark, but no firing up. Then I see the fuel pump eccentric sitting on the bench...DOUBLE D'OH!!!
