Orange County Choppers,Ha!! These are Choppers!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of my choppers. The orange one is a low mileage '68 Schwinn Sting Ray Orange Crate. It is a 5 speed with a springer front end. I always wanted one as a kid but my parents couldn't afford one.

The red one is a '68 Sears Screamer. It is a cheaper imitation of the Schwinn. It is a 3 speed. It has dual rear hand brakes, and redline tires. The red one has never been riden, and it is totally brand new. It was bought new by a lady in 1968 who was going to give it to her grandson, and for whatever reason never did. It is awesome in person. I found it at a second hand store for $100.00. I have been offered $1500.00 for it.

I remember when I was about 11 years old an old neighbor guy gave my cousin a bike from his basement. He said it was his daughters. We had a little bike "club" between us kids and that bike was so damn fast.I distinctly remember the shifter, the handlebars, those square looking tires and the rear shock looking things.Oh and the purple metallic paint. We all thought it was the queerest looking thing around but it was also so cool! Makes me wonder what ever happened to it.

Those are cool and they have the banana seats too!! My sis and I had purple 3 spd bikes when we were kids. Those banana seats sure made it easier for 2 to ride on one bike also.

I guess I shouldn't have thrown my bikes onto the garbage pile...of course they were used up after I was done with them.

Kool Krate!

I have a vintage '69 CCM Mustang in lime green, which is the Canadian "muscle bike" of note. I was lucky to pick it up for 12 bucks at a junk store. My wife was pissed at me but now I have people willing to pay some good $$ to get it from me!

Here's a couple of cool sites I found for "chopper" bikes
