I sold an electric fuel pump on ebay and I told the bidders up front that I will only accept money orders /cashiers check.Well the winning bidder emails me and wants me to do a cod "for his security" How is this done? Should I even do it? Is he trying to beat me? He has 2 negatives in the last 6 months.Give me your thoughts,Please.

I had one guy ask me that too. I also mentioned money order as well in my auctions. He freaked so I told him to never mind and I will relist it and leave negative feedback not agreeing to the auction rules. He did pay by money order after that.
The thing with COD is you have to pay shipping back if its not what he wants so your out twice in shipping, just a major hassle on used parts I think.
I always state in my auctions that persons with negative or zero feedback must contact me before I will accept their bid. With that said, stand your ground. Tell him it's money order only or you'll relist it and leave negative feedback.

Rick is right if it is refused or undeliverable you pay return fees and I seem to recall $5 extra with UPS I wouldnt even go there I have been selling on and off since 1999 and same as been stated I will relist and give a negative that or I say fine send me a MO for $5 to cover this and I wont leave any feedback or file a NPB do not let them call the shots nine time out of ten you relist it will sell for more anyways
You will be suprised at the number of people who do not read before they bid. I clearly state in all my auctions that if you use paypal you pay the 3% fee, guess how many people add the 3%? 1 out of about 30 buyers so far.
same here, when people bid and win my auctions, there surprised when I say Im in Canada. Even though it clearly says, BC,Canada
