they are supposedly Cragar headers, and they havent been used or mounted on a motor. Im going to trial fit them, then hopefully get them ceramic coated.

Got my new headers this morning

I remember the day I got my hooker headers for my 68 Torino with a 390 four speed I was ecstatic. Could wait to get them on. Had 428 cj heads on it. Out of a possible 32 I think I had 28 that was a lot of work. Never had a leak. Yeah I know I didn’t need to put them all in. Had the one tube that went out front of the tie rod end.
Good luck Dark.

thanx, I found out yesterday I have the 14 bolt heads (just never looked before), so Im thinking off trying to use them all Im also wandering if I should cut the flanges so there independant instead of one.

Take it from someone that's done them before, they're a PITA! Some suggestions, slot the lower 4 holes on each header & the gaskets as well, that way they'll slide down. Second, get someone that has a tig welder to weld the flange & tubes together on the side the header bolts are on & grind the head side flat. No leaks, easier fit, & did I say, no leaks

cool, thanx. Ive already started cutting the end holes Whats a good headers gasket to use that wont blow out. I used cheapy gasket when the 289 was in there with headers and I wont get cheapy ones this time.

I've never had my copper gaskets go even though I've knocked em a few times on the speed bumps.
