started trimming the towers

managed to do one today between storms Got the drivers side cut, just need to clean it up, do the template and weld up the plate then do the passenger side. Its supposed to be kinda nice tomorrow so hopefully can finish the drivers side and start on the passenger side.
Its going to give me lots of room there, so cool.

Rick, we made the same cut as you and then wrapped it so it appears that perhaps they were made that way.

I cleaned it up and used some icing to make it much smoother than this pic shows.

Just an idea you may want to entertain my friend.

Lookin' good Rick, keep us updated. Even my small block could use some more room, hate those shock towers.

I could porbably go down one more inch (since I shelby dropped the UCA) but I may want to raise it back to stock one day, and I can go out just abit more (which I may), just have to check and see where the spring is after I clean the cut up. So far I think its a big improvement for room, almost 2inches on that side alone. Im going to use 1/8th inch plate to cover the hole and going to do a 90* bend in the plate instead of welding 2 pieces, it will be one piece and look nicer (I think anyways). I'll make the template tomorrow (weather permitting), tranfer it to the plate and mauk up the plate and take some pix if I get around to it.

Picture size - at least 1280 x 960, bigger if it's no hassle to you. I've got 15+ meg of email space available right now, so have at it. Thanks for taking the time!
