The headboard for my bed right now is a '68 mustang hood. Perfect size for a twin bed actually. The fenders do nothing for the livingroom decor, but they do give the cat a hiding place to pounce from. He's usually chasing nuts & bolts around the wood floor. Ahhh, I see, going for the automotive motiff. Wood floors are great for cats, they make a lot of noise if they find the right thing to bat around. I have a 24x36 painting of my car that one of these days I'd like to rig up some trim as a frame for it. I don't have anything but little stuff laying around my computer here. The largest car Item is only a speedo I needed to get measurements off of for someone. Slapped it on the table by my desk and there it sits. When I pulled all the interior out of my car the dining room is where I kept all the seats. Kinda like the hood seems like a cool idea to me. Even if it's there only cause there is no where else to put it. Long as it don't shut ya in the 'engine compartment'in the middle of the night. That latch might smart a bit if it's turned that way and still attached.
