RARE RIDE! 1 of 47 1969 LTD 2 door HDTP 429 4-V 4 speed!

Two things I noticed about this car that are different....

#1.Look at the radio mounting (far left hand side of dash)that would make it impossible for the passenger to change the radio station on ya? and #2 the antenna for that radio is mounted of the left hand fender instead of the right hand side like most cars?

The car still wears its original paint from 1969.....

I really love the color of it.....it's a "old school" color that looks good too!

The owner says that if the car was a 429 / C-6 he prolly would have not bought it......

I didn't even notice that. Maybe someone from 'down under' was in on the design? Sure would take care of someone trying to commandeer the tunes! I've seen those radios with the knobs together like that but haven't really seen the cars they go in. I'm sure they aren't all on the left but still odd in itself even to me. But weren't some like that way back though, as far as the controls together like that?
I do like that color. I know a guy with a 67 convert that color or darn close and it looks really nice. It's just a good color for these cars. Wish my paint was in as good of condition as that one appears to be!

A four speed anything from the 60's-70's ROCKS!! I'd love to take that thing to a car show and count how many people argue with you that the 4 speed ain't factory!!

Nice car. Wow, a 4 speed in luxury car that size?! Talk about odd. It's like ordering a limo with a roll cage.

Very cool car.

I had a buddy in high school that had an LTD with the radio on the left like that. He always liked that no one else in the car could get at the radio.

Need to make a correction after going to look at the car, it's the same year but in convertible form so probably is the same color. It's a 1969 Ford XL GT 429 Convertible

Check the pics again?

Does that car use the same taillights as a Fairlane from that year?

I think so?
