I can get a 67 LTD 2dr fastback with the 428 automatic and front discs for $800.00. The car has sit for 20 years and is in rough shape as far as interior and vinyl top goes. There is at least a lot of surface rust. It is complete. The car suppossedly ran when it was parked. Is this a car worth saving?? Is it worth the $800.
The same guy also has a 1970 Marauder x100 429 that I can get for about the same. The door windows were broken by vandals and the interior is rough. The body looked OK, but the floors are bound to be rough with rain etc getting in. What do you guys think of that one?
Finally this same guy has a base 64 or 65 2dr falcon that has extensive body rust. He said he would let me have that for $250.
It has been awhile but the car are still sitting there on his farm slowly rotting. What do you think. Which one would be the wisest investment or should I let them be?

Well Greg,
You at least went in the right direction with your swap. I have nothing against mustangs. I drive a 2001 every day. When I want to drive an older car, I want something semi unique. While a 67 Galaxie is not unique, it is a damn sight rarer on the street than a mustang of any year. Today, I don't see Greg doing the same thing. It would make no sense money-wise.

Greg,
How is the Edsel coming along?

Those cars could be "very soft" or gone in structural places.......It's your call but, just beware they could really add up fast if you start to restore one....you would probably have to really look them over close to be sure what you were getting into though......

Check the link- Same situation for Adrian Clements, he saved this rare wagon from a similar fate. Who in thier
right mind would chop up a rare piece like this?
