Those weren't just any old guys. As far as customizing goes, Norm Grabowski, Bill Hines and Gene Winfield are right behind the likes of George Barris in fame.

Those guys seemed to be working together like the the parts inside a swiss watch, perfect harmony, well close any way. No drama, just focus on the task and they got it done. A great example for any car guy out there. Thumbs HI

It was a dream come true to see those guys work. I remember seeing their cars in those little 25 cent car mags back in the 50's. But to see them doing the work, and Hiens at 83 still slinging lead, a piece of automotive history. Didn't see the show, understand what a treat it is to any craftsman doing his thing. Something about a few decades under the bridge seems to make everything easier, if the person is really on his game.

Old style hot rodding was not high tech, it "only" depended on Skills. No drama, no attitude (unless you piss 'em off), no big rush to get it out the door...just steady, "get it done" perseverence. Hats off to the Craftsmen. I think it was Gene Winfield that did a lot of Custom cars for Ford in the 60's, one as a really cool 65 Galaxie...anyone know if it was him for sure, know of or have a picture of the car?

I saw the show ...

If it's the right show, it was a 54 Chevy.

Very Cool Car, but don't those guys ever think of doing a FORD

At times I get to thinking some folks are very ...

well ...

Less than

"Open Minded"

But then who am I to talk

I'm the guy with a 67 Camaro SS350 ... 73 Mustang Mach1 ... a 55 F 100

And would do damn near anything short of ...

Die

for a 70 Cuda
