powder coating

hey just a little peed off .I sent a pair of headers off to a powder coating co . 9 months ago , and every month there is another excuse as to why they are not finised . The last one was that they had to send them out to be buffed and polished .Has anyone heard of this before ,I thought powder coating was pretty much a simple opperation .CLEAN ,SHOOT , BAKE AND SEND IT TO COSTUMER any help on this issue will keep me from going postal .It's almost show time.

Call em again, tell them you're gonna drive up and pick up your headers to send off to someone else that cares about their customers. Then, drive up and get em. There's no polishing on powder coating that I'm aware of.

You're right Doug. Paint em, fire em and send them back. Maybe derust them which would take maybe a week.

I powdercoat, and it may take a week if there is a lot of rust or other damage, and I have more work as well, if its clean it should take no more than a day or so!!
