First, the V-Rod is not a typical Harley engine. It's a one-off sportbike type V-twin powerplant that was designed for racing. You will
not see a real
Harley engine ever even try to run with the fastest sportbikes.
Second, I'd like to know the exact weight and displacement limits for both inline 4 and V-twin entrants in Pro-Stock bike.
The reason Harley is in pro-stock, is the crowds want to see it. They want to see a Jap/American duel... with the American Harley winning. The rules will be tweaked with weight and displacement limits until they can make it happen. Having Byron Hines on your side doesn't hurt, either. He's pretty much the grand Wizard with those bike engines.
Bringing in different rules for the Harleys is pretty much like NASCAR on two wheels.
One set of rules, and may the best man win.
