Powder Coating for Intakes

Does anyone have a favorite color/product for Powdercoating intakes? I had the guys use Eastwood #10097, which looks good, but a little more 'gray' than I thought it would be. I kind of hoped to be gettting it back looking bright silver like it did out of the box.

On a side note, they also coated my drums. Look great, but they did the braking surfaces as well Any thoughts on how to get that off? I could just take them in and get them turned, I guess, but I'd rather save the $50 and figure out a way to get it done in the garage.

Powder coating will come off with heat (flame), it can be sanded, some oils will attack it like differential grease, but you won't want that on your brake surfaces.

I'm surprised they did that, since my coater taped and blocked off critical surfaces when I had my rear axle and ladder bars done. Most powders need a baked clearcoat to be protected from wear.

Maybe others have some experiences.
