wheels.....Cragar SS or Torq Thrust II ????

I had a set of Crager SS's and never experienced the peeling chrome and rust like so many others did. Of course they weren't on a daily driver in snow and salt either. I kept them clean, polished and waxed and they looked great.

The phatfalcon had Welds on it and were the most I've ever spent on wheels in my life. They looked great for about 2 years and even though I polished them regularly they get a coating of thin aluminum oxide on them that gets to a point that it can't be removed with a mild polish. They would probably need polished and buffed by a machine off the car to get back to close to new appearance. They were very presentable, but I've also seen the "gray" appearance on older ones.

I like the TorqueThrust look and Greg had a set on the 62 Sunliner that looked pretty nice. Not sure what I'll put on it after I take posession this weekend.

I have always loved the Cragar SS. Eversince I was kid. Don't know about the quality. Now for the dumb question. What the hell are slotted mags?

Hmmm...

Slotted mags
AMC Pacer

Two of my "guilty pleasures" in one post. I owned a Pacer (but I was too young to vote for Nixon). Maybe someday I will find a '75 Pacer like the one I once owned and install a 302 and slotted mags...

AWWW Man. What's wrong with slotted mags? I always loved those too! I never see either anymore. Everybody has some outrageous looking design in 22's. I think rims make the car, but they shouldn't take away from the car and draw all the attention to them. I think that is the big mistake a lot of kids make these days. Maybe I'm getting old fashioned.
