Now a barrel of oil is $130 which comes out to $90(55x$4-$130=$90) . I know that is not all profit but what about the diesel and what not that is left after the make the gas?

I'm not an engineer, but from what I've read, there is 42 gallons in a barrel of crude, and that produces about 20 gallons of straight refined gasoline per barrel of North American, Brent, or Arabian crude. Another 5 gallons can be refined into gasoline with exotic refining techniques. The remaining balance gets made into Heating oil, diesel, jet fuel, lubricants, and chemicals for making various byproducts from plastics to solvents.
