1/8 mile to 1/4 mile times

I have my 1/8 mile time and I want to figure out my 1/4 mile time how do i do this?

One conversion I have found to be pretty accurate is to add .24 to 1/8 mile time and divide by .655 to get the 1/4 mile time. I.E. 1/8 mile 7.0 +.24 /.655 = 11.053 1/4 mile time. Hey,works for me.

well to be honest if you want to get a 1/4 mile time ya gotta run it. There is no math to figure it out correctly. If you gear your car correctly for an 1/4 mile your 1/8 would be slower anyway. There are way to many variables in the conversion. The easiest way is to just run the 1/4 somewhere. The figure that the guy gave is a good guess but that's it, in fact it's probably an optimistic guess if you are properly geared for the 1/8 mile.
