What\'s this junk worth?

At my daughters graduation party saturday, a couple of cousins (gearheads I might add).....MAJOR, said they'd come upon some interesting ford parts.
Said (at first), that they had found a complete SOHC ford hemi. Come to find they've got the heads, some gear parts, valve covers, single 4 bbl intake, and other odds and ends. (oh yeah, pistons/rods, and maybe crank, (I forget).
In either case, they asked me what I thought it was worth....................duh.........well, with NEVER dealing with 'those kinds of parts', (sohc parts), I didn't have a clue. I spitted out, 'at least 2 grand'.........
Anyone have an idea?

Single OverHead Cam

Early 60s Ford racing 427 V8

Or any engine with a single cam in head design.

600+++++++++++HP out of the crate on a single 4 barrel.

I would say if you have original Ford heads and original Ford intake and this stuff is all original Ford, there is some who will pay big money for that stuff, depending on the odds and ends, I would say closer to 10,000 than 5,000. Stanly S. could probably correct me on this but I think only a few hundred were ever made.
