8 I believe. Then there's L1 (advanced engine perf),. and a bunch of others you can take.

Then you can jump on the Ford motor company bandwagon for 30 years and jump thru all their hoops/circus rings and get senior master certified thru them.

Just renewed (passed a bunch more tests/schools), and renewed mine for 2004. Yippie..

I know what you mean....

Chrysler does the same thing... Jump through all there hoops, yada, yada, yada... Just to get some lame title... I dont know how it is were you are... But the dealerships up here could care less if you are ASE certified or not.... It's not like they pay you any more to be ASE or not... The only reason the dealer up here wants people ASE certified is to satisfy Chrysler.....

I should be so happy I am now a "GOLD MASTER TECHNITION"..... Oh boy... ....

Also if you ask me the schools Chrysler sends you to are just as lame.... Almost useless... Dont get me wrong, you may pick up one or two things in the classes... But what a waste of a day.... I could just pick up a service manual and read and get the same info....

I'll get of my Soapbox now, Sorry guys...

Yeah, the title follows with pay...................yeah, right.

Friggin' politics. Friggin' bs.

Said it thousands of times before. If there was something that I could do that paid as much, (and that I loved doing as much), I"d drop ford in a heartbeat.
Too damm old to change, so I'm sure they'll end up burying me behind the used car lot in a couple of years.

thanks to all for the kind words, i didnt expect so many replies! im actually an engines guy, thats what i do most of, i actually took the suspension and steering test to help me get a job at a Sears with a friend of mine, not the greatest job, i am well aware, but im friends with and have worked with most of the people in the shop, and in my short experience in the working world i have found that it is much easier to get up and go to work when you dont hate everyone else in the shop. i was pretty amazed that i passed the suspension and steering test because i never did much in that area and slept throught the class in school and relied on what i remembered from personal experience to pass the tests. that brings up a point, kinda ties in with what cook was saying, im pretty sure that about every gearhead i know could walk in and pass the ASE tests, if you have the stones to take them. but that may just be my opinion, cause i have always been good at tests.
wow, i didnt realize i had that much to say, ill shut now...
