2 planes crashed in Russia....

Hijacked codes were given....what says you? I certainly hope that it was Al Qaeda and not anyother terrorist groups..

Good in theory, but doubtful it will work in practice. I think Russia is still licking it's wounds over Afghanistan. Unfortunately the majority of people in the world are apathetic toward the threat that terrorism poses.

Yea...I just read that this morning....From an unnamed source the hijacking code may have been an "SOS" code. And bad fuel, pilot error are being investigated but terrorist attacks are not being ruled out.

Since the planes have already crashed and the people have died (without sounding like a careless prick with no regard for human life) I am really hoping for terrorist attacks in order to, hopefully as others have said, get the Russians involved with the war on terror....

I don't think Russia can afford to aid or help out with the war on terror. They just don't have the funds[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_tdown.gif[/img]

And that's why it may end up being just a stupid maintenance problem. You really don't know what to hope for and you can only really just pray for all involved.

Everything I've heard so far leaves me in a simple "Hide and Watch" mode.

Until they get a decent handle on cause ... it's hard to even start thinking it through ... beyond simple awareness that it happend.

The Russians have been engaged in quite a ruthless war with their Islamic terrorists since the Berlin Wall fell. The Chechens have been merciless to the Russians, and the Russians have pretty much leveled Grozny, the Chechen capital. It looks like a moonscape.

The Russians (and Israelis) actually felt a bit relieved when WE were hit on 9/11, since it finally got our attention to the problem they've been dealing with for so long.

I for one, don't trust the Russians. I predict, and have predicted for a long time now, that the Russians will have an ultra-nationalist in power (Putin x's 1,000), divorce itself from the West again, befriend the Arabs and their terrorist buddies and swoop in on Arab oil and bring us to verge of nuclear war with Israel.
