computer wizards help!?!?

im trying to swipe an avitar from a guy on another board(he said it was cool) i just cant figure out how to put the pic in my signature. how do i add an image to my sig??

click "edit profile" at the top of the page. Scroll to the bottom where it says "signature" and put in the url like this (replace the () with [])

For the signature part - first, the picture needs to be somewhere. Since you're not a subscriber, you can't load it here. You should pull it to your own web space. When you link to the graphic from here, the hosting site will get a hit every time someone on FM views a thread with a post from you. That can be a lot of internet traffic (and I mean a LOT) and might make problems for the site operator. So, I vote you pony up for a subscription and keep that traffic here.

You go into Edit Profile, then go down to the signature block and in the signature block you use the (img) and (/img) tags. Replace the "(" and &quot[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img]" with "[" and "]", etc. You put the URL of the picture location in between the tags. (img)http://whatever.glom/itshere/somepicture.xyz(/img)

Add [xxx] at the front of code and [/xxx] to the end of code.Type img in place of the xxx.Had to type it this way or else it shows up as a red x box.

Try this.

1) Go to the website with the avatar.
2) right click on it, and hit properties.
3) See the section calledd Address (URL) ? Select it all with your mouse, then right click and chose Copy.
4) Go back to fordmuscle, and edit your signature. type in (IMG) but replacing ()'s with []'s like stated before. Right click, and paste. This pastes the above url. Finally close it with (/IMG) by using []'s...
