Burn baby burn thread reminded me of something....

Has anyone heard of this thing where kids are putting roman candles in the back of their pants and lighting and aiming them at each other? Is this a JackA$$ stunt?
Reason I ask is a friend of my brothers, eldest son (14) did this and the fireworks went down is stupid baggy ass pants and gave him third degree burns on his inner thighes and crotch area[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_cry.gif[/img] pluss his hands from trying to get it out. It sounds kind of funny at first but the poor little B&$#&%D is in pretty rough shape. He's okay but the blighter is scared crapless when someone lights a match now! I played with firecrackers when I was a kid but HELLO! down my pants? NO WAY. We knew them things had a potential for real injury and we treated them with respect they deserved.
Ironically his father is a fireman and he is beside himself[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img]

Kids will be kids. I remember "back in the day" Myself and a few cohorts used to take R/C cars or those 6x6 trucks and set them on fire and see how long and where they would go. We did start one small fire and after that we moved on. A few burned hands but all in all just another learning experience.

I hope your buddies kid heals up fine. The paronia should where off after time. My wife has been robbed a few times and it always takes a few mths before they get back in the groove.
