Bad news, good news..........news is news..........huh?

Wake up to the sound of gunfire. Some of it sounds like it's coming right thru my bedroom window...................duh. Duck hunting,(I imagine/guess). What a wakeup call.
In either case, wake up totally, figure what the hell, I"ll hook up the racecar/trailer and go to the local (first time at this place), local car show. Try to start the truck.........clickity/clickity/stutter/stutter, click. Fugk.....Dead/toast battery. (it's orignal 97, so it's time, but still)................ Wake daughter from dead sleep. (she's pissed). Get HER keys. Move her car, (for access to batt), and jump start my truck. Drive HER car fairly deeply into a bush in front of the garage.......(hell, I was pissed, AND in a hurry)..........No damage, (well, maybe a little to the bush), but pretty much completely covered the front of her car with pine needles/crap).......(kinda funny in retrospect).
Anyway...................still in a hurry, move her car back where it was, bring her keys back,(again, pissing her off more because I had to turn the lights ON to know where to place the keys properly).
Get back out, back truck into driveway (turn around), and back up to trailer.......Hook up.........start to drive/pull trailer/car out..Rrrrrrrrrrrrrripppppppppppppppp. Took trim off right side of garage door again................Ooops. Momma (by this time), is awake, and is watching this go on...............Gives me a thumbs up with a (you stupid ****), look on her face. I'm feeling pretty good about myself by this time.

In either case, drive /tow down to the dealership, swap a battery in the truck, and wash the race car quickly.
Get to the car show, unload, stash truck/trailer, and proceed to lumpity;/lump into the parking area.
A 3/4 of the day later I come away with BEST RACE CAR award. NO 1st /2nd/3rd places, just BEST. (sometimes it ain't who ya know, but who ya............), well, anyway.
Nice ending to the day................

Nope.................cold engine............spensive slicks...........one more points race next weekend. My luck I"d pop the motor, AND blow a slick all in one swift move.

One kid offered me, (after hearing how much slicks cost), to give me a check for 500 hundo. I said, yeah, right.........I'll run downtown, CASH the check, THEN do a burnout for ya. doh'.

Hell, if ya can't laugh at stupid chit, what's the sense.
Better the truck battery puked in the driveway, then hundreds of miles away, in the middle of nowhere. And repairing/replacing the garage trim (hell, I'm getting good at it by now), is just another'gotta do' before winter deal anyway.
