Anyway, the real reason for my post is...

Have any of you thought of putting a battle switch in the alternating system somewhere, so you can turn the switch and just run on the battery for the 1/4 or 1/8 th? Wouldn't that give you a little edge? Those alternators do pull a little, even while just running the electrics in the computer or distributor...

What are your thoughts???

I used to have one years ago until I found out how important an alternator is with todays electrical systems i.e. MSD, fans, water pump...

i had the switch. but i just used it so i could pass tech. couldnt figure how to kill battery and alt. on same switch so i had seperate toggle for the alt. and would shut off while going through tech.
