Dumb Post ... I stuffed my Turkey

With APPLES ... and a little sugar and butter ...

We are having a late dinner here so I have no idea what it does to a Turkey yet ...

I'll let you know.

Oh ... I also loaded the dressing with Cashews ... but I do that every year ... I like it a lot.

Hmmm, turkey pie crust. Now that sounds different. I always though apples went in a pigs mouth.

Geez....y'all are such a bunch of traditionalists... Did anyone besides me have something other than turkey today? We made a beautiful lasagna here. I bought over 30 bux worth of mozzarella, provolone and ricotta cheeses alone, plus plenty of sweet Italian sausage and fresh ground chuck for this one and it came out great.... I'm just getting ready to have another nice piece or two before bed.

Personally, I HATE roasted turkey!.. My roomie is a turkey junky but we also make a beer basted ham for Christmas so there's something decent to eat. The only kind of 'da bird' that I'll eat is the processed lunchmeat type with Swiss cheese on Rye. I'm not much for chicken either though the Chicken Shack's wings were kinda good.....

Apples/sugar/butter - Sounds very interesting. I personally use apples and sausage in my stuffing, And it is awesome.

BTW ... the Turkey was very good ...

I'm not sure the apples affected much ... maybe made/kept it moist.

Nothing I could blame or credit to he apples though.

Maybe some ideas on spices would help, I did it in a rather Bland fashion today.

We had lasagna here also. I prefer it much to the turkey.
