Another one bites the dust....

Cam, that is...[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img] Looks like I'm a victim of push rods that are too long. One lifter looks like a ski slope, afraid to check the others at this point. We didn't drive it but a few miles this time so I'm hoping nothing else is hurt. Oil pressure is still good.

My buddie had a Buick 455 that had the cam break in 4 or 5 pieces and a piece dropped down on the crank and bing bang BOOM! it was toast. I say your a lucky man! [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_tup.gif[/img]

Did you go to an adjsutable valve train? Crane makes a bolt on kit for 429-460's that will allow adjustment.
