Some News is Good news...

Hi Folks I just want to keep myself up to par with FM, and keep any interested parties updated on my situation...

My father is still in the Critical department in the hospital. It's been seven days, and his body is still working properly inside, except for the punctured lung which is healing up very very slowly, if at all, yet. He may need surgery to staple the tear in his lung. Other than that he "looks" good. But with his advanced lung disease I am not allowing myself to look foreward to his recovery, so that I can be better prepared for the possibility that he does not. Although, I am doing all the work he's left in his garage, (a 66 or 65 GTO or LeMans, I haven't looked too closely at the make, just the condition... Horrible...) I am still trying to prepare my mind for his loss, just in case. If I start feeling sorry for myself now I will become an emotional wreck, because I have "Hero Worshipped" my Dad, all of my life.

Enough of the bad news....

I miss the hell out of Washington!!!! This place ROCKS! I still miss the rain and it's raining outside right now... [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_spin.gif[/img]

This Computer is on a NetZero Dial up connection, and GAWD do I miss my Cable Modem!!! [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img]

This is slower than frozen molasses! I cannot understand why the world is not screaming for the cable companies to get cable internet to their homes!

The outlook for my Daddy is better than I make it sound, and physically, the only thing that's left a visible mark was the shoulder belt. Other than that he looks good. I want to thank all of you who responded to my post last week with encouragement, Thank You Very Much!

Also I have not visited since the night I left till now, and noticed that Spongie was apologising for something... and I'm sorry I missed the action! [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img] Him and Monster have been entertaining me since I joined this forum. But I still like the both of them!
