1972 Torino CJ \"Q\" code?

I picked up this Torino it is a bit banged up it also is a 4sp I just am wondering why they are not worth much, I have been looking around and they seem to be going for $10k in good or restored condition on average, I didn't think they made many of these that are a CJ, 4sp with tach or I guess not many want them, its sad because it will cost me that much to put it together.

I have a '73 Torino Q code with a 351 CJ and a C-6, but a '72 with a tach and a 4 speed is really a cool car.

Thats what I am talking about if this was a Mustang it would be $$$$ I am just going to part this one out, the motor and trans is worth more to me then to wait and see if the value turns around, the body is banged up but it only has 77k miles and it fairly clean inside, its sad

The value hasn't been there in the last 4 years, when i first got mine. The '72 in my mind, are just bad@$$ looking. Is it a fastback? Gran torino sport? have the hood with the scoops? hell, those hoodscoops sell for about 250 used, in decent condition. I know the cleveland, after rebuilt can pull in $1500, about 500 shy of what i had in it, but, it helps.

I'd think twice about parting that out for now, and 800 was a STEAL for it. Too bad I can't have another right now, or I'd be trying to get it from you.

well i picked mine up for 500, running, ran for 1 and a half years. engine blew, spent money, got it running, crashed it.Good thing my dad was incharge of "appraising" cars at the ford dealer then. Now pricing on some repo and even NOS parts is outragous. And not all parts are out there, Dearborn Classics has a great amount of parts though.

And if you were closer, or i had room for another car, i would buy it for $800, rolling chassis.. I just miss it.
