Just thought I would share what a top notch company this is. I ordered a set of the aluminum caps for my Torq Thrust D rims to replace the plastic ones they come with. When I recieved the order one had a major ding in it and one was a different finish. Called and was told no problem, send them back and they would correct the problem and reimburse shipping. Today (I spoke with them 2 days ago and had not sent flawed ones back yet) two replacement caps arrived. I thought this was great customer service

I bought 15x7 and 15x8.5 for my mustang and only thing I can say is they are not real picky about quality- all 4 rims had lug holes slightly rotated relative to the casting, and poor finish where counterbore tool cuts side of hub out. the 4.5inch ford pattern requires removing the plastic caps so the lug wrench will clear too- do the metal caps have same condition?

I have Centerline telstars on my 85 camaro and 89 markVII and 5 out of the 8 had similar drilling alignment error, and three had razor sharp burr on inboard rimflange. The drilling thing is more cosmetic than structural, but the sharp edges could ruin a tire(or cut your hand like mine did) when you mount your new tires...

Speaking of sharp edges, next time you change your oil, look for burrs in the centerhole on your oil filter- Ive seen quite a few over the years with metal chip hanging on sharp inside of thread...found a staple in a new air filter once too...always look over anything before you put it on, only takes a sec, might save a lot.

another note about my centerlines- I picked my MKVII rims up at Summit Racing(1/2 hour away), and boxes were sealed- ordered different sizes front and rear, but three different centercaps were supplied between 4 rims, couple dented- only one of 4 would even fit bore of wheel...Summit swapped out no problem, but that was a couple hours wasted...

My TorqThrust rims were perfect, not a flaw on them.

Scott-
do the new aluminum center caps hang over the hub notches like the old plastic ones? was thinking about making some, glad I didnt if theyre available now...I had to remove the caps on mine before a lug wrench(or even thinwall socket) would go on.

were your wheels made in USA? just wondered if they started making in China yet...the '97 factory ford wheels I just bought(used) were made in China-that scares me as the company Ive worked for for 24 yrs machines OEM forged aluminum wheels among other things...Havent seen any Chinese coldforged wheels yet though, so guess we're safe for now.

I'd bought Torq-thrust-d's back in '93 when they re-released them(always my favorite mustang wheel), and the tires are probably dryrotting by now- with the stickers still on the treads...seemed like everytime I thought about starting on the mustang something bad came up...hopefully 2005 will be a good year for the family AND the poor old mustang.
