Who here has cheap friends? I mean super cheap!

It drives me crazy to have really cheap friends. They won't spend anything on their car because they figure I can fabricate it for them. And when I do make something for them, they complain that it doesn't look that great. Well, if they would have spent just a few dollars for the part instead of me spending a couple hours fabricating it, they should not complain. Sorry to vent, but it drives me nuts when a friend tells me that they want their car to be really nice, but they refuse to spend money for the basic things to keep it operating, I lose my patience. Then again, they are Chevy people, so I think that's half the problem[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_bicker.gif[/img]

If I spent my time fabricating something for a friend, because they were to cheap to go and buy it in the first place, and then they complain about how it looks, I would grab a sledge hammer, and crush whatever it was I made for them and tell em to go and buy whatever it is they want, that they ain't gettin it from me. That is what I have done in the past!!!

Anyone that does that is not your friend. Odds are that these guys dont call you up to go out, or invite you over for a beer. They show up, talk about cars for 5 min, and say "Oh by the way..."

Take people like that and tell them to get F$%!$#%

It'll save you headaches in the long run. Also, its amazing how much free time you have when your not the towns free mechanic.

My wife always complains that I fix too many peoples crap for free or next to nothing...

That's what I like to do I tell her, and it rarely get on my nerves... Unless, it's the same person again and again, then I just fix it so it don't break no more and they stop comming when their crap aint broke no more...

and that folks is why I dont have many friends....
maybe 1 or 2 people I can call friends, everyone else is just someone I know..
