motorhead those pics were great

Brings back some crazy memoryies of my riding days and some the wild stuff we tried to copy from "videos".

ford4v429, I too was following in a friends dust cloud on my lt500r I heard his banshi tach up so I went full throttle and shifted in 4th maxing it out.... I caught up to him just in time to see past the dust and relieze the trail turned left.... I didnt make it. I slammed through some small trees/brush that stopped my alxe so fast the engine blew the head gasket "compression had to go somewere", next thing I knew I was upside down still in the "riding postition" with the quad on top of me and hot rad fluid was pooring all over me.

thinkin about my old quad again...down by zanesville ohio(perry state park) theres like 3000 acres of apv area...about a mile from the parking area is a shallow lake, maybe 2 feet deep in the spring- 5-600 feet across...anyway in the early summer hitting the water at 70mph was awesome- you could skim several hundred feet before the fronts would sink, sending you flying thru the air over the bars- sounds kinda nuts maybe, but man what a way to cool down...in the fall the lake dries up and the bottom is greasy clay- found out you could pitch into a donut, lean back and pirouette on one rear tire- got dizzy and fell off quite a few times, but it was cool- ... spent too long back in there and overheated/blew headgasket...(the suzuki dont have a fan) had to get pulled back to the truck...that bike was so surefooted, man I miss that...aah the good old days.

I have a 2001 YAMAHA Kodiak 400 4X4. Ultramatic. Awesome fourwheeler. Plenty of power, first time I ever made the drive belt was last weekend, and I had water at my knees riding thru flooded land. Was in that stuff like three minutes, and it started to slip. Do not know how it is going to act this weekend after it dries out, but I will find out tomorrow..

I have a Cannondale, and even though they went bankrupt, I have no problems finding parts (luckily). The bike rips pretty good stock. I usually run it in the sand, or on trails, although I have been to the track a few times as well.
