I should also add that I did visit Graceland. Now I must say, I'm not much of an Elvis fan...his music makes me nauseous...but after being to his "crib"...the man had mojo, that's all I know. Kind of odd, I'm expecting a mansion of immense proportion, and it turns out to be a normal, albeit large, house...decorated so bad that I thought it had to be some kind of joke, but they said it was authentic.
I tried valiantly to have my picture taken on the throne where he died, but alas, I failed...big no no to go upstairs in the house.

Well I guess those people lied to everyone. I was there not long after it was opened to the public and they were saying that after ol aunt whoever that still lived there was gone they would be opening the upstairs and the kitchen area. Did you get to see the kitchen area or just that formal like dining table? I actually kinda liked the jungle room or whatever it was called but the fountain wasn't working then either. Is it now? 20 questions here! I did see the jeep from one of the movies, the stutz and the pink caddy there parked out back. They were rather sad looking and in need of a good cleaning and polishing. They are probably in a museum or something now though. The horses were still kickin back then but probably dead and gone by now. Sure didn't have much decorating sense though for sure. I magine cleaning the "walls" in the game room.
Love the wheels there too. Haven't seen one of those in years!! I hope the weather wasn't too awful cold for the ride though. But sitting on a plank and all I guess it wouldn't have made things a lot worse anyway.
