Comp Eliminator 6 Cyl

Took this picture wandering the pits at the Gatornationals, motor was sitting in Steve Ambrose'e trailer.
Check out the head, it is carved from a block of aluminum by Alan Johnson the top fuel guy.
What a sound from these motors, buzzsaw like growl. 3 of them at Gainesville, Glen treadwell went to semi's with one in a dragster.

What block is that? A 300 with the head design changed to crossflow?

Yes it is a 300 block, they used to use 3 cleveland heads welded together until this head came along.
Interesting all the 4 &amp; 6 cyl racers use fuel injection but the V-8 racers are still using carbs.
