So thats what that noise was....

Fitted new rotors/calipers/wheel bearings/hoses/pads etc to the '70 Ranchero yesterday...

When I got to the right side I discovered that one of the pins that hold the caliper on was snapped/missing. This had allowed the caliper to rest on the rotor so it wore down the edge of the rotor & put a big ass groove in the caliper...
Luckily it was the trailing pin, not the leading one or this very well could have turned into an *event*...[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img]

So, the good news is that not only does the ranchero now stop, but it also makes a lot less noise & the strange vibration has disappeared [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_tup.gif[/img]
