Well my rearend is junk. (Edit The cars rearend)

Just got to taking the rear end apart. Found one of the 4 spiders broken into 5 pieces. The pin is so chewed up I can't even take it apart. The pieces got into the whole thing, not a part left that isn't junk.
Ordered a rebuilt drop in center section. $500.00 with shipping. Live and learn.

That sucks, sorry to hear about that. Did that once in my Bronco II, threw part of the spider gear right through the cover of the diff.

Heh. I've welded the spiders to the pin in the Ranchero. Damn pin sheared off the clutchpin and rotated it into the case. At least it died in glory, with a 10-second powerbrake and a 150-foot burnout as it tombstone. [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif[/img]
