Saw some T-buckets...
I was out and about a few days ago and saw about four T-Buckets at the local Burgerville. Except for one of them, THEY ALL HAD CHEVY MOTORS! Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but honestly... what's with putting Chevy motors in Ford cars? It really ticks me off. The guy with the ford was the only one I talked to. Apparently he's got a Jaguar IRS that he's building for it. Right now he's running a 351W, C6 and 9", and it was pretty awesome. I love T-Buckets, especially when they're built in a garage, not by a professional.
I also find it funny that I can talk to people that are 40-50 years old, better than I can with my own generation...

This has been beat up on FM a million times...
I hate it too!
But chebby motors are cheaper than ford, and all those damn small block parts will interchange for 50 or so years
Sort of wished Ford did that but they change everything soo dam often, that only this~N~that will interchange unless you spend big money to modify it....

Saw some T-buckets...
A friend of mine bought a '23 T recently, and the guy he bought it from was going to get it running with any engine he wanted. I go and look at the car, and it has a small block Chevy in it!!!!! I asked why he chose that engine, and he said that it was cheaper and easier to get parts for!! I told him that he bought the car with any engine that he wanted, and that the seller had several Ford engines to install in it including a couple of FE's, so how could it be cheaper? I get pissed when I hear that kind of stuff.

Thats the whole thing cheaper.... and wanting to be like the jones...... me I want to be different.... Everybody has a ChXXy thats why I went with a Ford in my truck and anyway I started out with more stock Cubes (460) than the Chxxy boys (455). All thou I almost went with a 500 Caddy but I figgured it would be more expencive to do a Caddy than a Ford. I sure there wouldn't be many HP parts for the Caddy..

I think that is the one of the best things about Fords. If you get tired of one combination you can go to something completely different (several times over!)and still remain true blue! With chebbie you got about three choices and that's it. With Ford you have flathead,Y-block, FE, MEL, two types of windors, 335 series(two kinds), 385 series and now the Modular motors. Variety is the spice of life you know. I've probably left something out too.
