passed emissions.

put the 2 barrel on with an adapter and it passed, running extremely lean, plugs were white, it would barely run and had about half the power than the bigs carb. I guess you have to be running somewhere around 14.7:1 air/fuel ratio in order to pass their standards, I bet bigs sets his up at 12.5:1?

anyway the bigs carb goes back on tonight so I can pump more hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide into the air all that for nothing.

lol I once took the plate off my truck and put it on my car when the car wasn't registered. Drove it around like that for almost a month, never got pulled over. I even had cops sitting behind me at stoplights.

Hell, I just drove about 16 hours from northern alberta home in a 94 Chevy 4x4, speeding the whole way, with tags that had expired stickers on them. I didnčt get stopped. Of couse the tags were good, just forgot to put the stickers on...

<<looks around>>

My tags are currently expired on my daily driver and have been for the last 9 months. NM DOT never sent me the annual renewal mailing...

PS. That is a great idea... I like it... I have to remember that idea if NM ever adopts a state wide emission bill. currently I think only Bernalillo county has one. And I love about 80 miles from there...

No emissions Nazis around here....

Heck, you see guys with brand new trucks taking them to the local muffler shops to have the stock exhaust systems removed to install dual exhaust with loud mufflers...

However, if you go to a muffler shop shortly after a diesel has been there, you can sometimes pick up an entire 3" or 3.5" mandrel bent exhaust system for cheap! They are great for cutting and piecing a musclecar exhaust out of.
