Had to go see my dad for his operation. We drove around 80 most of the time, LOTS of traffic miles in St Louis, & freeway traffic & still got 18 mpg on a new truck. This 5.4 has power to spare, comfort like a car, & with the light interior the AC freezes ya out! I love the floor shifter in those trucks.

Remmber when the 97's came out, and they did that custom job with a galaxie interior and all that jazz? Had a floor shifter in the console, but it didnt do anything, still had to use the column shifter. Seems if someone were to re-create that truck, it'd be even cooler [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

Tell ya what, with the prices they're offering on em right now, I'm durn tempted too. All I'd have to do to convince the Mrs. is tell her it'll haul a lot more flowers and dirt than the Pt will and I'd be in like that...[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_tup.gif[/img] Not sure how I'd explain the trailer hitch and the tandem trailer with electric brakes, though...[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif[/img]

As for the truck, ours is an '01 and we still love it. I prefer the split bench seat to the buckets though.
