Hurst shifter

I know this is a dumb question but, How big of a hole do you need to cut for a hurst comp plus shifter? It is in my 57 Ranch wagon.
The shifter mounting block is cnly about a 1/2 inch from the floor.
We are using a T-10 4 speed. I am trying to cut as little of the floor as possible! Ia there a template or something?

Thanks

Tim

Hurst shifter

Well, the answer, as you stated, is to cut "as little as possible" out of the floor.

You might just want to use some cardboard and mock it up like an "extension" of the shifter housing and see how large and what size the hole would be.
