Need help posting pictures

Ok I am driving myself crazy trying to post pictures on this website. I go to the pictures forum and upload the picture that I want to link to my posts and it says that my picture is to big. This is the info that I have in regards to the picture that I'm trying to use;

Dimensions: 2272 x 1704
Type: JPEG image (I have also tried GIF)
Size: 1.13 MB

I know very little about computers and need all the help I can get. How do you make the picture smaller? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Send them to me i will down size them and send them back to you. Then you will be able to post them. But all you need is a program that will let you down size your picture. Go here and down load photofiltre and in it you will find in image one that say image size that will let you resize them. Good luck.
